Together they maintained the business for over 50 years and currently have a commercial beef operation. Even at the age of 78, he still rose early and enjoyed putting in a full day's work. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed lunch with them every Sunday after church services. He was an active member of Dunn's Creek Baptist Church and a respected member of the community. He fought a brief but courageous battle against leukemia.
