James Curtis "Jimmy" WoodEdit

ROCK HILL - Mr. James Curtis Wood, better known as Jimmy, 49, of Rock Hill, S.C., died on Thursday, June 2, 2011, in Rock Hill. He was born on March 8, 1962, in Ashe County, N.C.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, with visitation following the service.

Mr. Wood is survived by his mother, Dorothy Pennington Webster of West Jefferson, N.C.; and three brothers, Gary and wife, Diane, of Lubbock, Texas, Harold and wife, Jackie, of Houston, Texas and Thomas and wife, Pam, of Crumpler, N.C. He is also survived by two uncles, Lake Blevins of Fredericksburg, Va., and Orville Pennington of Laurel Springs, N.C.; two aunts, Libby Roark of Lansing, N.C., and Mary Witherspoon of Conover, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Pennington and brother, Charles Howard Sr.
